Short Description

A first-person survival horror game set in a house that should be empty. Ration scarce ammunition, unlock the house one organ at a time, and survive the thing that keeps the lamps lit. Your father still lives here.

Full Description

Your sister called. She said your father is not right, and there is no one else, and please come home. You swore you never would.

The house is lit when you arrive. The lamps are on. A candle is burning in the hall. The table in the kitchen is set for four, and one of the places has been used recently. Nobody has lived here for years.

The Evil Rise is a descent through one family and the house that rotted with it. Nexon-9 was built to save a dying woman. It worked. It never stopped. Now it grows through the walls, and it does not raise the dead so much as reclaim them, which is why nothing you do to them ever feels like winning.

Ammunition is scarce and it stays scarce. There is no block, and no encounter in the house requires a kill. The thing hunting you does not sprint. It walks, with one hand dragging along the wall, and the lights fail around it as it comes. Doors do not stop it. It opens them slowly, which is worse. Gunfire does not hurt it. Gunfire only tells it where you are.

The house is a body, and its doors open with its organs. An eye. A lung. A brain. Work your way deeper through rooms that seal behind you, and work out for yourself what the last lock is going to be.

Recognition

“That was poetry right there. Actual work of art.”

One of Twitch's most-followed broadcasters, on a previous title from the studio

The work has also drawn unsolicited approaches from industry professionals who found it independently: a voice-over director credited on major commercial releases, professional localisers credited across more than twenty published titles, a developer from a major studio horror production, and a platform talent scout from a publicly listed global virtual reality hardware manufacturer.
