Biography
Liam Hadari is an independent game developer and the founder of Luminam Games. He released his first commercial game on Steam at twelve. His two horror titles, shipped as both developer and publisher, have sold to players in more than sixty countries with no team, no publisher and no outside funding. His current game, The Evil Rise, is a first-person survival horror game he has built alone in Unreal Engine 5 over four years. Its free demo launched on Steam in October 2026.
His work has been played on stream by one of Twitch's most-followed broadcasters, who called it “poetry right there, an actual work of art.” Industry professionals have sought out his work on their own: a voice-over director credited on major commercial releases and two professional game localisers offered to work on his games, a developer who worked on a major studio horror release reached out after discovering The Evil Rise, and a talent scout from a publicly listed global virtual reality hardware manufacturer approached him about the game.
He works across the entire production himself: gameplay programming, enemy behaviour, level and encounter design, lighting and rendering, narrative and script, animation and audio implementation, user interface, store presence, and publishing. The games are written, built, lit, and shipped by the same person.

The Studio
Luminam Games is an independent horror studio that publishes its own titles directly on Steam. The focus is narrow on purpose: first-person horror, built with production values normally associated with much larger teams, at the scale one person can actually finish.
